Gallaber Park sits amidst stunning rolling countryside right on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The park is surrounded by woodland, giving a sheltered and private feel amongst nature. It truly is a beautiful place to be.

Gallaber Park prides itself on presentation and appearance, with a continuous rolling programme of maintenance and improvement. We are also proud to have achieved Gold under the David Bellamy conservation award for caravan parks and also to have been awarded Five Stars tourist board rating.

The park has a Touring Park for caravans and camping.

Luxury static caravans are available to hire visit:www.thornleyleisure.co.uk.

Holiday Homes, both new and used, are available to buy and we are a dog friendly site. Gallaber Park makes a great holiday regardless of how you choose to stay with us.

The site has a Woodland Trail, which is a great place for a relaxing walk. We’ve also created a wildlife meadow, a wildlife pond and the grounds are beautifully landscaped, creating lots of areas to enjoy nature and the vast range of wildlife on the park. We get a range of butterflies, bees and dragonflies. Newts and frogs live en masse in the wildlife pond, where herons, red deer and king fishers have been spotted hunting and drinking. The trees are full of songbirds and the skies are patrolled by sparrow hawks and kestrels.

The red deer come in a herd of around 20-25 beasts. They aren’t always at the park but pass through regularly and sometimes camp out here for a week or two.

There are also three nature based Children’s Challenges available on the park for kids to have a go at. These are:

1) Mini-beast hunting in the wildlife pond

2) The wildflower meadow challenge

3) The wildlife rubbing trail challenge

Ask at reception for more details.

The site also has a children’s play area and a putting green and a boules court, both with equipment available for free hire at reception.
