We have a wide range of animals including meerkats, cows, goats, Shetland ponies, donkeys, alpacas, pigs, sheep, chickens, red deer, guinea pigs, rabbits and much more. There is also a rodent room and an aquatics room.

The farm has a wide range of animals including meerkats, cows, goats, Shetland ponies, owls, pigs, sheep, chickens, quail, donkeys, guinea pigs, rabbits and much more. We also have an aquatics room featuring many different varieties of fish and other aquatic life.
There is also a gift shop and cafe serving delicious hot and cold food and a secure childrens play area. We also have an immaculate 6-hole pitch and putt golf course (adults £4, children/concessions £2).We also offer childrens birthday parties which includes a guided tour of the farm, exclusive use of our exotics room and the birthday child gets to feed the meerkats! £8.00 Per child. We offer VIP Meerkat and Reptile experiences as well as holding regular events and activities throughout the year (see our website for details)
Annual pass available - £30 valid for one year (2 adults and up to 3 children). Childminder annual pass - £20 valid for one year (1 adult and up to 3 children) Proof of occupation required when applying.Open daily 10.00 Am - 4.00 Pm, including Bank Holidays. My Grand Childen's favourite place to visit
It is a lovely safe environment where young children can walk freely, and experience feeding and interacting with animals. There is also a small play and picnic area. dallies2016, Sheffield, UK

Lovely
This is a lovely place to go .my niece is disabled and loves to go see the animals especially when they have piglets.there is also a nice cafe to have food.it is also very afordable.staff are friendly and helpful. debs_reynold699, Barnsley, UK

Lovely little farm with a cheap shop and entry fees
Visited yesterday as an alternative to Cannon Hall farm (£30 family ticket as opposed to £8 at Wigfield). Not a huge farm but perfect for little ones under 7ish. Enough to see for 2-3 hrs and the playground was fun too. Cafe was super cheap and staff were friendly. Overall for the price we were very happy. **Horses didn’t seem too happy and so we didn’t approach them but all other animals looked well kept and happy. 22nd Feb 2018 -
A fun day out for all the family
I visited the farm today for my niece's 5th birthday. The kids had a great time and I had a look around whilst they were eating the party food. The animals vary from farm animals (cows, sheep, pigs, goats...) to meetkats and reptiles- something for everyone!
I would highly recommend having a kid's party here too- they make it fun, relaxed and it takes all the strain out of catering and organising one by yourself!
There is a cafe on site so you can spend the whole day there, and as a charity I highly recommend you support them! Louise2902, Wakefield. UK

Lovely afternoon out
Wigfield Farm is lovely for the children. They can get close to the animals and learn quite a lot from their experience. There is a small cafe where you can get drinks or sandwiches and on a day when the weather is kind it is lovely place to spend a few hours. Jack R, Barnsley. UK

things grandkids love
been quite a few times now with our 4 grandchildren 2are 4 years 1 is 8 1 is 9and they all love visiting wigfield it really is a hidden gem easy to find easy to park the kids can get up close to the various animals John W, Barnsley
