Red House Farm is located in Glaisdale Dale just 400m from the village of Glaisdale in the North York Moors National Park near Whitby and consists of a group of buildings dating from the mid 1600s, with the main section of the house being built in 1748.
We operate as a smallholding and have Longhorn cows and hens but no tractors or modern farm buildings. You can see photos of our Longhorns here.
Walking and sight-seeing are the most popular activities for the area. Several excellent walks start from the doorstep of our house, and we are only about 1/4 mile from Wainwright's Coast-to-Coast Walk, which goes across Glaisdale rigg and onto Glaisdale village road.
