An independently owned freehouse, you’ll find warm hospitality, home-cooked food, comfortable accommodation and a relaxed atmosphere, whether you’re joining us for a holiday, dining with us for a meal or just dropping in for a drink and a chat at the bar while you’re out walking or cycling with family and friends.
With a backdrop of Ingleborough, one of the challenging Three Peaks, we overlook the charming St Oswald’s parish church, a favourite of Sherlock Holmes author Sir Arthur Canon Doyle’s, who married his first wife here.
From here you can explore the Lake District, The Yorkshire Dales and The Trough of Bowland, or just relax here with us here in the garden or by the fire. After all, we have 50 different gins to try as well as our hand-pulled cask ales, so don’t rush off – stay a while where the fun begins!
