Burnby Hall Gardens is a haven of beauty and tranquility nestled on the edge of the stunning Yorkshire Wolds. The Gardens are spread over 8 acres and include 2 lakes which hold a National Collection of Hardy Water Liles and gigantic Koi Carp which can be handfed. It contains many ornamental gardens and formal bedding areas including a Victorian Garden, a Secret Garden, a Rockery and Stumpery.

The Stewart Museum contains artefacts from all over the world brought back to Pocklington by Major Percy Stewart, a keen traveller and adventurer. On his death in 1962 the Major bequeathed the Gardens in trust for the benefit of the people of Pocklington. The Gardens also has a playarea for children, a tea room serving light meals and snacks and a beautiful book and gift shop.

The Gardens (with the exception of the Rockery) is fully accessible to wheelchairs and prams and has received an award from Age Concern for its facilities for disabled people.
