• I stayed in a static caravan and was surprised how much space there was inside especially since I had been previously staying in hotel rooms while on holiday from Canada. I now had all the amenities of my own kitchen and a spacious living area. Best of all, I could step out from the caravan and breathe in the open countryside around me. It was nice to see a child riding her bicycle on the pathways by the caravans and to see the fields stretch out beyond the caravan site. I enjoyed my local walks along Forest Rd to the village of Alne and my day trips out to the east coast and the Yorkshire moors. I was travelling by train and bus so it was convenient for me to take the bus to York or Easingwold from stops just outside the caravan site. Everyone from the owners of the caravan site to the bus drivers and passengers were so helpful - it was a pleasure to visit Yorkshire. Jane Gray, Far Shires Caravan and Camping
