About Us

Nestled in the Yorkshire Dales, Brymor has been making the finest Real Dairy Ice Cream since 1984. The secret lies in our cherished herd of pedigree Guernsey cows that graze lazily on lush Yorkshire grass. Guernseys are famous for their golden whole milk which is far creamier than other dairy cows can produce. Combining their milk with double cream, and sourcing only the finest natural ingredients makes for an indulgently rich finished taste, which we know you will enjoy as much as we do.

We don’t cut corners and remain true to our distinctive flavour and texture. We have a genuine passion for our craft, and the quality of our creations. You can sample our hard work at our parlour and café on the farm in Wensleydale with over 35 different varieties of ice-cream and sorbets or check out our stockists to satisfy your craving.

  • The best ice cream

We love Brymor ice cream so when we were staying nearby we called in, all seven of us, for an ice cream treat. We were not disappointed, the portions are very large and a 'scoop' is much more like two. The black Cherry Wim Wam and rum and raisin were both excellent.

  • superb food and staff

Visited this wonderful dairy on a few occasions when we have been in Yorkshire and never disappointed. 3 of us went for lunch and of course ice creams for dessert. We had the soup, Pennines with salad and followed with delicious ice cream cones. We tried the liquorice & blackcurrant , rhubarb crumble and the cinder toffee. All amazing and flavours incredible. Such choices you want to try them all. Our food arrived delicious and hot and good portions. The staff all happy and service brilliant. so friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. we had a great lunch. This is one of the very best ice cream parlours. Plenty of seating and comfortable chairs. a big thank you to all the staff for a really great lunch and ice creams. Hope to see you again when we can next get up. Rita & Graham/ Louth Lincolnshire

  • Lunchtime treat.

Took my two grandchildren ,who were staying with us, for an end of school holiday treat. We ordered sandwiches ,which were served with a side salad and crisps. The sandwiches were delicious, plenty of filling in both the egg mayo, and the tuna. Beautifully presented and very fresh. The service was quick and friendly, and afterwards the children loved the range of different flavoured ice creams available, and were not rushed into making their choices. All in all a very pleasant relaxed lunchtime. The children can't wait until the next time they come to stay, so that they can go again!! Well done Brymor!!

  • Wonderful

This is without doubt the best Ice cream parlour in England. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The range of flavours is outstanding. It really is amazing, everyone should visit here and then you will know what a great ice cream is really like.

  • Lovely ice cream

Where do you start? There are too many nice flavours, and they keep adding more. It kinda makes you keep coming back for more. The staff are always nice and friendly. We have yet to try the snack menu, but will in the summer when it's a little warmer.the only real thing that lets it down are the toilets, these need updating.

  • still simply the best

The wonderfully creamy icecream never changes (only to add a few limited edition/seasonal flavours) but the parlour is undergoing small enhancements all the time. On this visit I noticed the big sign outside the main door (where there's often a queue in the mid summer) giving 4 steps to selecting your icecream 1) how many scoops 2) what sort of cone/tub 3) flavours 4) twiddly bits like flakes and sauces. Grat idea - this would have helped me when I was on the other side of the icecream counter many years ago - It's what the staff need to know, in the right order to get served as quickly as possible.

The gift shop area is stocked with interesting local products - not cheap mind. There's also nice food items, including Brymore's own milk and cream.

I see from Twitter that they've now created an indoor play area (perfectly timed) and have a few calves back in the big shed across the car park - great, we've missed the calves. I wonder if they'll be brave enough to go back to supplying ethical veal from the herd too?
