  • Just a quick note to say thank you for a lovely weekend, we had a brilliant couple of days. The setting is so beautiful and rural. The whole site is so very well looked after and spotlessly clean. Thank you again Tony & Lisa

  • Many thanks for a lovely couple of days at your campsite.

We loved the way the site is divided into small sections by strategically planted hedgerows, which made the pitches feel very private, we also liked the fact that each of these sections has its own fresh water and recycling point.

The motorhome service point is easily accessed and even has a retractable hosepipe for rinsing the grid after emptying the grey waste. The toilet/shower block were very clean and your site shop is well stocked. The location of your site is ideal with bus stops near the site entrance, plus the river boat going to York. A good pub is 10 mins walk away in the village. Most important for us is the dog exercise field

In a word PERFECT. What more could you ask for. All for a reasonable price.

In our opinion all campsites (including the 2 big clubs CC and C&CC) could do with paying a visit to Naburn Lock to see how a campsite should be run.

Again, thanks for your warm welcome and help. You will see us again.

  • Naburn Lock Campsite is situated in a quiet location just far enough outside the village centre, with a bus stop adjacent which goes all the way into York City centre. The surroundings at the Campsite are beautiful, with lovely wild, cottage gardens surrounding the main buildings; and well maintained trees, shrubs and lawns on the wider site. There is plenty of space and areas for children to play games. The toilet and shower facilities are very well maintained, always clean no matter what time of day/night you visit them.

Catherine and Peter are a friendly couple who work incredibly hard to make sure your stay as pleasant as possible. I have stayed at Naburn Lock Campsite on a number of occasions, though I could have chosen to go elsewhere, I have returned time and time again.
