Thornborough Grange Park, in South Kilvington, is set in 3 acres of park land. With our own adjoining 5 acres of landscaped picnic area with the beautiful Cod beck river running through it which we have own fishing rights. We are in the heart of Herriot Country and many more attractions.

Within walking distance is The Old Oak Tree, a family run freehold pub with a restaurant serving home cooked food and real ales.

Thirsk & Northallerton Golf Club is adjacent to the park and offers a warm welcome to all levels of golfer. The 18 hole course offers an exciting challenge to visitors, guests and members with a free taster session available for beginners. The clubhouse offers a wide range of facilities so you can enjoy a relaxing meal and drink after a day on the course.

If you want to go a bit further afield, the Georgian Market town of Thirsk is only a couple of miles away. It centres a cobbled market square, has boutiques and shops with a Monday & Saturday market and is dominated by the historic town clock tower.

A day out at the races is a perfect way to enjoy a day out with family and friends. Thirsk Racecourse offers a picturesque course with high quality racing to make sure you have an enjoyable and affordable day out.

The historic City of York, 23 miles away, is renowned for its exquisite architecture and quaint cobbled streets. It's rich in ancient history and offers many tourist attractions such as the York Minster, Cliffords Tower, and the Jorvik Centre. From narrow streets, lively with chic cafes and specialist shops, to trips on its tree-lined river, York is a treasure house with a superb choice of museums and galleries.

Visit Castle Howard, 15 mile north of York, and enjoy world-renowned collection of stunning architecture and inspiring family stories. Castle Howard is Yorkshire's finest stately home and garden. Grand interiors, gardens and an adventure playground make a great family day out.

With lots of historic events from Bram Stokers Dracula to the Whitby Regatta you will never tire of this beautiful, cobbled street town.
