Leeds boasts a magnitude of attractions. Shopping, being the main attraction for many is huge here. Stores such as Harvey Nicholls, House of Fraser, The White Rose Shopping Centre and even Primark pull in new visitor’s everyday. The Corn Exchange holds an array of boutiques and offers quaint places for a cup of coffee to revive the shopping day. Second hand shops such as Blue Rinse hoard thousands of Levis and retro Addidas clothing.Leeds
LeedsLeeds’ culture is notable as it hosts 4 theatres and its own opera and ballet companies. Well known for its music artists such as the Kaiser Chiefs, Shed Seven and Dire Straits, Leeds is also a top spot for big performers including Robbie Williams, James Blunt, Muse, and many more. The Leeds festival held yearly over the August bank holiday proves that the music scene in Leeds is growing bigger by the minute with hot new bands coming out every month. Leeds also has some great architecture to offer the visitor. The Town Hall is a magnificent building and is often used to host concerts. Leeds City Art Gallery hosts some exquisite collections and the Royal Armouries is world famous for its unique collection.
In the winter months, the newly converted ‘Millennium Square’ hosts an ice-rink known as the ‘Ice Cube’ which has proved to be very popular. Leeds is also well known for being the home of Yorkshire cricket; Headingley hosts the headquarters, and of course Elland Road is the home of Leeds United Football Club. Outside of Leeds are places of interest such as Harewood House which is open to the public from March to October. Pretty little towns such as Ilkley offer a gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, and Harrogate, another picturesque spa town which is also known for its shopping.Leeds
As a central business district, Leeds can offer superb first class accommodation to those who want it. Low budget is also available and in the surrounding towns pubs offer bed and breafasts the Yorkshire way. Leeds has a brilliant newly refurbished station and with its own airport; Leeds/Bradford, getting to the City couldn't be easier. The historic city of York is only half an hour away on the A64 and the countryside is waiting for you 10 minutes outside the city.
